Unable to install Itunes, it downloads fine, but then error message pops up. Any help?

Anyone who can help? I had itunes on my computer since 2009 with no problmes, there was an update yesterday am, tried to update, wouldn't allow it to happen, I logged off, back on, tried a couple of times with no luck. I then uninstalled so i could reinstall, now it downloads but will not allow the install, an error message keep popping up. Tried to update other things too, nothing seems to be working...... Called Apple for phone help but they wanted me to pay 20 bucks, sorry no.. thanks anyone who can help.

Hi, and thanks for your interst in helping me, there are some real jerks on this comminty site. Any way. It says

" make sure SSL 3.0 or TLS 1.0 is enabled in the Internet Options control panel, then try again". I checked and they both are enabled, I try again and the same thing pops up.

That's a bit odd. Normally it's an error you get if iTunes has been installed ... you just can't open the Store.

Are you getting that after launching iTunes and trying to go to the Store? If so, have you checked the date and time on the PC as per the following document?

Sorry it did finally install, I forgot to add that last time. I followed the document link (thank you), did what it recommenend, even disactivated by anti virus and it still has the same message pop up. Thanks for your help.
