Q: How do I load 3rd party software on my mac mini with no optical drive

I'm not exactly sure how to "properly" "install" 3rd party software like Print Shop onto my mac mini that has no optical drive. I've tried in the past dragging and dropping programs onto my hard drive from my other computer but it doesn't work. Can someone give me a 1, 2, 3, step process for "installing" 3rd party software without the use of an optical drive?

You can purchase an external optical drive (http://store.apple.com/us/product/MD564ZM/A/apple-usb-superdrive) , or you can use Remote Disc to install using another computers optical drive. See this - http://support.apple.com/kb/HT2129.

It states that my mac mini doesn't need to use remote install if it has Lion, which I do. My Mac mini is connected to my iMac by an ethernet line. So what process should I use with my type of set up?
