Keep getting errors such as "Media Server Application unexpectedly quit"
and "3x crash service down"
What does this mean and how do I stop it.
I'm trying to compress for DVD delivery and cant get any one of four progects to work.
Have spent all day watching the progress bar approch the finish line only to fail in the end.

Are you using the Creeate Disk preset?
Not in final cut x no.
I exported the file as a .mov and bring it into compressor manually.
I was having no luck exporting from final cut x directlly to compressor.
In compressor i'm selecting the Disk burning presets for audio and SD video.
I've had sucess with 3 of the 4 projects now but the 4th one still fails before compleation.
Editcode describes it simply as a transcode crash and suggest third party codec conflicts as a possible cause
But since the progress bar nearly completed, it almost sounds like the encoding part of the job worked but the job action failed. (You may be able to confirm that by checking the log.)
Since 3 of 4 worked, it sounds less like a Compressor glitch and more like something related to the source file. Is there something different about that movie that sets it apart from the ones that finished? (Even some thing relatively innocuous like the length.)
