I had a screen repair done by a dodgy company, after a month it literally fell out exposing wires,
Just want to know if its worth getting repaired with a new screen or is it not worth the expense

I would find a better place and hear what they have to say.
I do not think that Apple will replace your iPod with a refurbished one for this price:

Since it has been open and parts replace by other than Apple.
If you have a 2G iPod I would say not worth fixing.
repaired screen falls out!
