How do you sync an iPad 2 and an iPod touch

I have had an iPod for a while and have recently got an iPad and want to sync them so they have the same music, apps etc.

I have already used the iPad and chose to not sync them when I was setting it up but after using it for a week I decided to sync them but I don't know how.
