How best to share a large iTunes library

Hello all,

I'm home sharing a large iTunes library and I'm having some difficulty on our iPad 2. After I set up home sharing on the iPad, I just see a spinning gear and the library never shows.

My setup:

Windows PC with windows 7, 64 bit

70,000 songs in iTunes library (v11)

Linksys e1000 router, wpa/wpa2 encryption, standard setup

Opened ports 3698 tcp and 5353 udp and 123 top/udp in my windows firewall

No problems on Apple TV v2 with home sharing, only on iphone4 and ipad2

Anybody here have experience with a similar setup and has any tips?
