Existing mp3 audio editing ??

I am not sure if this is possible but is there any way to edit and audio track (not created) so that just the drum beat can be heard?? i.e. to mute the vocals, guitars and bass. If not in GarageBand anyone know any software that can do this?

Powerbook G4, Mac OS X (10.4.6)

No, you can not isolate instruments once a song is mixed down B-(>

This isn't really possible. Drums share so many frequencies with so many other instruments and vocals that it would be impossible to isolate the drums.

If there is a drum solo part of the song, you can edit and chop that up and use the individual pieces as sampes. Then you can create a keyboard with said examples...
