help with accidental trackpad input.

I think the default is for the cursor to move everywhere. I am not the only one with this prblem (https://discussions.apple.com/thread/3662398?start=0&tstart=0). Can anyone help with this? Are there Terminal commands to activate accidental trackpad input? it is really impeding on my productivity.

MacBook Pro (Retina, Mid 2012), OS X Mountain Lion (10.8.2)
