After carrying out an upgrade on Apple TV Gen 2, The unit has gone dead. The light on the display flashes every 1 second and all I can see is the apple logo on the TV screen. The unit does not respond to the remote contol. I have unpluged the unit numerous times to carry out a reset. The situation does not change. Is there a solution for this problem

Try connecting the Apple TV2 to your computer with a micro USB cable, and restore it with iTunes.

Hi Norman, Did try connecting to PC, goes through the motions, extracting software and then downloading. Comes up with error message. Obviosly downloading the corrupt files from server.
I have found another previous TV 2 software and downloaded. I am using windows with ITunes 11.x.xx.
Can not seem to upload this file which is saved on PC. Others have commented that this seems to get there TV 2 unit operating once again.
How do you find this software after you plug in APT2 unit, when you are asked, do you wish to restore ATV 2.
