Jan 2, 2013 5:15 AM in response to BumForeverby Knucklesmac,Hello,
Try resetting the PMU and see if that helps. http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1431
If not, then it would look to be a fault with the keyboard. try cleaning the keyboard first with some compressed air. if that don't work then it would require another keyboard.

Jan 2, 2013 11:04 AM in response to Knucklesmacby BumForever,I attched a spare key board to the iBook and it seems to have solved the jumping around and correct typing but when I try to go fast, I get that whirling multicolored pin wheel that puts a break on my speed! The Apple store in the near by town wants 250.00 for a new key board! I can't afford it!
