I'm a new Apple user with a new Mac Book Air. When my laptop tries to load iCloud, it gets stuck. I think I need to click the resend verification email, but I can't because none of the buttons are active while iCLoud is trying to load. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

You might try the following.
Put in a request for another verification e-mail to be sent to you.
Start here, change your country if necessary and go to manage your account
Also check your Mail rules and filtering, the verification mail may be going to a junk folder or even being deleted altogether. You may also wish to contact your mail provider to see if their spam filters are removing the email before it gets to you.
I'm also having this issue. When I go into System preferences/icloud it asks to confirm my password. I enter it and it just spins and spins. I went into account settings and changed password - same thing. My info is streaming between my ipad & iphone, but not my MacPro. All updates current. Nothing has streamed since 12/14

Also, why do you want iCloud if you only have one device
When I visit iCloud.com and try to log in, it says that my account has not been verified and to check my email. There is no email from apple for verification (that I can find), which is why I think I need to hit the resend email verification button (which I can't click on while the spinner is spinning).
I would like to use the calendar feature but it appears (and I could be wring about this) that I need to do this through iCloud. Also, I would like to be able to store files on iCloud and have the possibility of accessing them from my work computer (which is a PC).

Where is the finder?
When I do a search in what I think is the "finder" (upper right magnifying glass) and do a search for Library, I type in user Library, etc.) I don't see a "go" menu either??
My icloud email is accessible on my phone and when i go to icloud online site but all of a sudden won't load on my macbook.
I type in my pw and everything.
Gmail loads within the icloud system.

Nothing. When I start or restart my laptop, iCloud tries to load and can't - I also can't close it.
Sorry I can't see what you can see, are you talking about system preferences, calendars, mail or what.
I just tried signing out of icloud and it is just spinning on that as well. Can't log in can't log out. ??

Do any of your other devices have a problem connecting to iCloud.
I don't have any other devices to connect to the iCloud (I am a relic that still uses a dumb-phone).

I can now log onto iCloud.com, but like you surmised, the beachball is still spinning. Do you have any suggestiosn for hos to proceed now?
