Hadn't updated to ios 6 because of problems my boyfriend was having with it.  Phone stopped pairing with bluetooth devices.

searched the forums, called apple, no joy.  Then found this archived post.  Brilliant.  It works.

After going through so many frustrations, I finally able to get my Bluetooth connected with my iPhone. I was surprise and for a few moments, I couldn’t even remember what I did to get it connected & sync. Isn’t that always the case though?? LoL

But you can try these combinations of things I got from the feedback/support discussion. Thank you for all of your input!!

1. Make sure both iPhone & Bluetooth are charged
2. Turn on Airplane mode
3. Settings/General/Bluetooth
4. Turn it On
5. Paired
6. After it is paired, keep holding the Bluetooth button until it is connected.
7. Bluetooth is on & now there’s a new icon on the iPhone that shows how much charge there is on the Bluetooth—that was a pleasant surprise! Does anybody else have this icon on their iPhone. That is going to be useful in determining how much charge does the bluetooth has while your on the phone.
8. Cross your fingers & pray that it will work continuously.

I didn’t get to enter any pin #, I don’t know why that is but I don’t care as long as it works.

Good Luck!!!
