Can you Bluetooth an iPad to another iPad

My kids are trying to send files to one another from their iPads via Bluetooth. Can this be done?

iPad, iOS 6.0.1

Peer-to-peer connectivity is supported:

I do not know if there is an app that would support file transfer.
