Why cant I find JBL Flip speaker as a discoverable bluetooth device on iPad 2? The speaker is sold by the apple store and reported to be iPad 2 compatible??

I recently purchased a JBL Flip speaker to use with my iPad 2 and iPhone 4S. The speaker is great. However I cannot pair the speaker with my iPad 2. The speaker pairs easily with my iPhone 4S. However the speaker is not visible as a discoverable bluetooth accessory when using the iPad 2. I'm not sure what to try next. The iPad 2 pairs with my wireless keyboard. The speaker pairs with my iPhone 4S. I've tried turning off the devices, restarting the devices. I'm only a few feet away from the speaker when trying to pair devices. Apple store sells this product and states the product is iPad 2 compatible. Soooo what am I doing wrong?

Brink,

First, realize that if you're trying to pair it with multiple devices at the same time, you've created a problem. The speaker will only pair with one device, so if you want to pair it with your iPad, then turn off bluetooth on your iPhone. Next, be sure to press and hold the power button for about 3 seconds, until the light starts flashing red/blue/red/blue - that's when its in pairing mode - and the bluetooth on your iPad should be able to discover it. Hope that helps!
