I get that once in a while and I just go to devices, Apple TV, and reset it and it fixes it.

I found an instruction in the APPLE MANUAL on the website which was a one liner which instructed me on how TO RESET THE APPLE TV. IT WORKED.I HAVE POSTED A RESPONSE TO WINSTON CHURCHILL who also offered help which expands more fully in HOW TO RESET THE APPLE TV.

how do you reset apple tv?

PRess small silver hand control to start up apple tv. Light comes on The Apple Tv.

Then press the MENU on the same control and press at the SAME TIME, the small BLACK ARROW THAT POINTS DOWN.

hold Both down until the white light on the APPLE tv starts flickering. Release your pressure on the buttons When light has flickered. Hopefully this will have done the trick.
