4S iPhone loses power easily

My 4S iPhone loses power easily even though all the apps are closed and its in a wifi environment. This started recently. I have tried turning off as much as I can, like location services, screen brightness and time, etc. I have the current software. I have tried turning off the phone and restarting it.
