I have a new apple tv, when i first set it up all my movies were shown on apple tv. I went on again and movies were missing. The movies are in my itunes library but not on my purchased movies on apple tv.

Assuming this is not the first time you have used your Apple TV
1. You might try restarting the Apple TV by removing ALL the cables for 30 seconds.
2. Also try restarting the router.
3. If the problem persists, try a restore, you may want to try the previous procedures several times before doing this.
If this is a new Apple TV, it may also be that your network router is not allowing access to the timeserver, check that your router allows access over port 123.

I reset my Apple TV but it is still not showing up.
Did you restart the router.
No, i will try that. What do you suggest if that does not work?
Is it just movies that are missing.
Yes only 3/9 of my movies are shown yet they all show up on my itunes account.
I think I have misunderstood your question.
Do all the movies show up in the purchased section (under Quicklinks) in iTunes on your computer.
I have a MacBook Pro. All of my nine movies show up in my iTunes account on my laptop. Now when my Apple TV is on only 3 of the movies show up.
For the avoidance of doubt, are you looking in your iTunes library or in the Quicklinks > purchased section.
what is quicklinks? I also reseted my router, still didnt work.

When you go to the store in iTunes, there is a Quicklinks section in the top right corner, where you will find the purchased section to look in.
Are we talking about on the Apple Tv or computer?
I also noticed you have started another thread, from what you have said both here and there, can you also confirm where you are looking on the Apple TV. Movies > Purchased or Computers > Movies.

The computer.
Under the movies they all show up on itunes.
movies are not showing up
