Is hard drive failure covered by the Apple Guard plan?

I recently sent in my Macbook Pro to eserv to repair the hard drive problem. The staff told me that they would have to replace the hard drive. My macbook Pro is currently under an apple Guard plan for 4 years. It also has a warranty for 4 years. Thus, I would like to ask if this hard drive failure falls under the apple guard or warranty. Thank you 😀

It should be covered under AppleCare - you don't have a four-year warranty, rather a three-year warranty. If you're still under warranty, the hard drive should be replaced at no cost to you. If you're out of warranty, though, it will cost you to have your hard drive replaced.

To check and see if you're still under warranty, have your serial number handy and go here -> https://selfsolve.apple.com/agreementWarrantyDynamic.do.

Good luck,

Clinton
