Does mini-Ipad support internet connection on every nano-simcard which offers cellular data network?

I used my ipad mini in Burma and I have to cut off my simcard to be a nano-sim coz the career in Burma only provides normal sims.I wanna know if I used ipad-mini with this nano-sim,does it support internet connection as usual?Does it work on this sim?
