my ipod touch is disabled and my original computer crashed. i have a new computer and i want to get my computer to recognize the device. can anyone help me?

im looking for help. my kids were playing with my ipod touch and somehow managed to get it disabled for 22,582,766 minutes. my original computer crashed and i have a new one but i cannot get my itunes to recognize it. please help 🙂

Place the iOS device in Recovery Mode and then connect to your computer and restore via iTunes. The iPod will be erased.

If recovery mode does not work try DFU mode.
