Tiger- Snow leopard- questions

I am running OS X 10.4.11 (tiger) and need to upgrade to snow leopard. I understand that I can do it straight from the snow leopard DVD, however I will lose ilife. I use iphoto a lot, will I definitely lose it? Can you recommend any other photo packages? Also, are there any other considerations, ie does it affect safari or anything else? Bit worried as never done anything like this before (major technophobe!!) Thanks 🙂

First determine if your Mac meets these requirements:

My 'old' MBP has the iLife applications and includes iPhoto. These may not be the latest versions.

I use Aperture. It is very similsr to iPhoto but more sophisticated. I endorse it.

It will not affect Safari. There may be version differences.

Snow leopard is the most efficient OS that Apple has developed, including the newer Lions.
