i have iphone 3gs, User uploaded filei did everything on this link http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4623

but i got a new problem on my iphone

So from what I can see, if the phone was ever jailbroke or unlocked you may have an issue getting it to work. This is the case with mine. However I thought that if I wiped the phone, and I did and then installed the new iOS it would lock to its original network (Telus). I don't even wnat to use the 'phone' just wanted to set it up as an iPod for my kid.
