I have an HP display, bluetooth mouse and keyboard on a Macbook Air on Mountain Lion. My problem is that when i pull off the power cable the computer goes into sleep even though I still have the display and peripherals on.
OS X Mountain Lion (10.8.2), Mc Air.

are you using it in clamshell mode (macbook air closed and using extermal monitor)?
i think you have to be plugged in to do this, if you un-plug it goes to sleep (it used to anyway)
