Hi all.

Hi,

This is actually a question about the old desktop. It runs on Mac OS X 10.5.8

Safari disappeared from the dock, and said something about enabling Java or Java Script. Was able to open from Finder that day.

Next day, I accidentally drug the icon out of Finder to the desktop while trying to launch from there, and then it disappeared from Finder/ Applications entirely.

I was able to access internet from History, but if I close Safari now, or try to open a new window, it tells me that there is no software to support the request and I should reinstall Safari.

Not sure where the apple disc is. I've been on info sites saying I need to reinstall the OS, but can I just do Safari? If I have to do the OS, do I lose any personal files? How did this happen?

Thanks a bunch!

Mac Pro, Mac OS X (10.5.8)
