iPad doesn't get bellsouth email

I've had my ipad over 1 year. Yesterday started having issues getting my bellsouth email. Kept getting invalid password. Called att changed password. Still am unable to get bellsouth email. ATT has been less than helpful. I've deleted the account re entered the account still nothing. I do get email from another NON att email address.

AT&T has probably changed something in their protocols, and the person you talked to may not even know it. Does AT&T have support forums? if so, take a look and see if others are experiencing the same issues.

Sometimes it can be a temporary glitch that goes away. Or, as something I experienced, my Yahoo mail absolutely refuses to work through the mail app on certain AT&T hotspots, and only on those hotspots.

My work around when that happens is to use the web interface and mobile safari to access my mail.

I was also having this problem. Came on suddenly and for no apparent reason. I saw a suggestion on another posting site that I set up my email through the Yahoo setting in the email options because bellsouth is processed by Yahoo. I deleted my bellsouth account on my Ipad and set it up fresh by going through the Yahoo option. It took a while for the first mail to come through but now seems to be working fine.


Hope this may help you! Very frustrating to have to do it, but I don't appear to have lost anything.
