For the past couple days, my email will not update. It either just says "Connecting" and doesn't do anything, or "Checking for mail". And if it does finally update, it won't keep up to date. Anyone else?

what kind of mail is it (yahoo, gmail,hotmail?)
always check the server status at downrightnow.com if its ISP mail (like comcast, roadrunner, timewarner, may want to check with them)
can also go to settings>mail contacts and calendars>fetch new data> make sure push is turned on.
turn it off, and then back on. Restart phone.
I'm also having this problem with my iPhone 5 on ios 6.0.2 and my iPad2. It seemed to work fine before I updated, however now on both wi-fi and 4g my mail takes FOREVER to load (I do a manual update, not push). I have a yahoo, gmail, and icloud account and they are all taking a long time or just not loading. I've tried shutting down and restarting and it has not seemed to help.
Any suggestions on how to improve would be greatly appreciated!
