I just purchased an iPad4 and I'd like to transfer vids from my HandiCam.

I have the Lightning USB Camera Adapter for my new iPad4 w/Retina display, and I have a Sony HandiCam HDR-CX150 video camera that records HD in AVCHD. The stills upload fine, but my iPad doesn't see any Vids. Is there a program for my iPad that will recognize my AVCHD format? Any help or advice?
