How can I load information from my iPad to a USB drive
I have a converter that accepts USB drives, but I can't load information from my iPad onto the USB. Any suggestions? Is it even possible to do what I want to do?
Thanks.

It is not possible.
As deggie said, it's not possible to do this directly. What type of 'information' do you want to load onto a USB from your iPad?
Pictures, movies, and word documents. Some of my video files are too big to email, and my old PC doesn't support iCloud or any other method of transfer. :-(
There might be an app that supports it, but I have no idea (I've never tried this).
If not, email from the iPad to yourself whatever information you want (if it can be emailed) and download and save it to a flash drive from your computer.

I'll see about emailing as much as will be emailed. :-P
I think "ease of transfer to USB" should be in Apple's next update. :-P
Where did those files come from?
If the pics and videos were taken with the iPad, you can probably pull them off with your old PC just like you would with any digitial camera... http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4083
There is no direct access to the file management system in iOS so there would be no way to do this.
I think Apple sees iCloud as the way to do data transfers.
So I am extremely doubtful that you are going to see anything like that with USB any time soon.

What you can do about the pictures and videos is plug your iPad into your PC using a USB cable, but instead of going to iTunes, use Windows AutoPlay or whatever to import your pictures and videos to your computer. Then just drag them to a flash drive.
There are lots of photo-managing apps out there that also may help.
