Retina macbook freezing issues

Hello, I am curious to see how many people are having issues with their retina macbook pro's. I got mine less then a month ago and it seems to have bad dreams because every time it has been sitting asleep for a while (a few hours) upon wake it freezes or has a dealy before being able to type a password or user information. This has become increasinly annoying especially for a new macbook pro. Another thing I have recently noticed is if the batery dies, upon plugging it in and starting the computer it is viturally usless. The entire system freezes and is laggs. Such a bummer since I paid $1,820 for this thing. Other then that the computer has been fine. I know they recently released some firmware updates but nothing helped. My computer is up to date with all programs and software. Anyone have any idea why this is happening or how I could fix it. It would be very much appreciated. Thank you!
