wireless mouse frequently disconnects

My Apple wireless mouse frequently disconnects, yet the battery level is good (currently 77%.) Is this a common problem?

I'm using OSX 10.8.2.

Well, I tried it and it did help, but it did not solve the problem. It just happens less frequently. This behaviour is hard to understand. I think I'd be less confused if making it a favorite had not helped at all (not that I'm not grateful for some improvement.)
