Q: just downloades an itunes gift card on the ipod

I am a novice with a new ipod for my daughter. We just downloaded a $25 gift card onto the ipod and then proceeded to try and download a song. I then got a message stating that "paypal is not supported on this device" and to go to the itunes store on my computer. How can I change my payment method to an itunes card?

Is the ipod set with a credit card, apple account, and with the latest version?

Set an account by going to Settings>icloud

Set credit card by Settings>icloud>account>Payment info (an account has to be on in order to punch in a credit card)

Update to latest version by Settings>General>Software Update
