Movie purchased with 3G Apple TV displays error message when selected to play.

I purchased "American Gangster (unrated edition)" through my current generation Apple TV. A few days ago, the store/iCloud returned an item unavailable, try again later message. This seems to be the only movie that shows this message. It hasn't been downloaded to my Mac, but neither have most of my other movies. Is this message specific to this movie, or is it an random error. Will downloading to my desktop resolve?
