I recently installed OSx Snow Leopard v 10.6.8. Now Safari 5.0.6 doesn't work. What options do I have ?

Get Firefox; it's a better browser anyway. Much more flexible and safer with available Add-ons and it's updated. The 5.1.7 won't be. That's probably the last Snow Leopard version. It will become more and more vulnerable as time goes by, since it won't see any security patches.
But why isn't the 5.0.6 working?
