Ipod touch 3G frozen on Apple logo and loading circle sign thing

My ipod touch 3G randomly turned off this morning and when i turned it on, it got stuck on the Apple logo. i have tried resetting it, but it just comes up with the apple logo and the loading circle sign thing. i cannot restore my ipod, as my computer that i sync my ipod with is curently dead and the charger isn't working, so i am waiting for a new one. Therefore, i cannot restore my ipod onto our desktop computer. Itunes on the desktop computer still recognises the ipod and charges it as well, though it won't sync and i can't try restoring it and it just won't work properly. This is a major dilemma. 😢 😟

thanks a lot, but my ipod just won't do anything. The screen won't go black when i hold down the buttons. I'm currently trying to run out the battery, then charge it and turn it on and see what happens.

Try holding doen home and sleep

or you can try this

1: PLUG YOUR IPOD INTO YOUR COMPUTER!!!

2: HOLD THE "HOLD" AND THE "MENU" BUTTON UNTIL THE TOUCH'S SCREEN GOES BLACK AND SHOWS THE APPLE LOGO AGAIN THEN RELEASE THE BUTTONS!!!

3: WAIT ABOUT 5-15 MINUTES!!!

4: YOUR COMPUTER WILL MAKE A "CHIME" SOUND AND THEN THE IPOD WILL SHOW THE LOCKED SCREEN WITH THE BATTERY LOGO...

Try letting the battery fully drain. After charging for at least an hour try everything again.

i've tried that and it still won't do anything. I think the only solution is to restore it, but i have to wait until my new charger for my laptop arrives -.- this is so frustrating.

Do you have a friend's charger you can borrow? If not or you choose not to, just take your device to the Apple store. It is in good hands there.

I've worked it out, there was this stupid app called Little Snitch that disabled the use of iTunes, so I disabled it and it worked. I thought I might try my router charger and its a bloody miracle, it works. I've restored my iPod and everything, so now everything's all good. Thanks so much for all your help! :D
