I think the model number is ID38.
Anyway, I also got the new iPad 4 with the lightning connector. Will an adaptor work or should I return this docking station and buy something else. If so, which one would you suggest?

Thank you very much! I appreciate that you sent links to both the direct adaptor and the one with the cord. I just ordered a slim case and am going to see which one would be better - hate to have to take it out of the case every day to charge it.

JoBelle, are you able to use the connector to use your iPad 4 on the docking station? Apple told me no docking station is avaialble for the new iPad 4 and no approximate release date - not really happy I can't dock/listen to my new device!!

I was told I cannot use this adapter to listen to my new iPad 4 on a docking station. Is this true? Also, Apple can't even tell me when a docking station compatible to the newest generation will come on the market. I would think they'd have one available so people could fully enjoy their new device!!
Hey doubled, thanks so much for this. I was about to order the adaptor and I guess now I won't. Darn. I will keep checking at the apple store. I agree it is strange to not have these. iPad 4 released in Nov and still no way to dock it???
