problem with i pod touch and wirreless

we have 3 apple products in ky house all connected to, and working at this minute, the same wireless connection however My daughter has just received a new ipod touch and is trying to set it up but it just says all the time unable to join wireless. why is this? the wireless is working fine and i know the password is correct
