iTunes 11.0.1 cannot airplay over ethernet

Hello,

I have a problem after the iTunes 11.0.1 update.

I cannot use airplay to my airport express using my iMac's wired ethernet connection. If I shutdown ethernet and only use Wi-Fi on my Mac, I can connect to the airport express and use Airplay. The airport express is connected wirelessly.

With iTunes 11.0.0 and earlier I had no problems. Any ideas? Or just wait for iTunes 11.0.2 ?

I wish I knew the answer to this -- very frustrating that Apple ruined the best thing about I Tunes. There was a promise that I Tunes 11.0.1 would fix airplay, but I still have the same issues you do (as do many others, apparently).

A real shame. An update should be...an update, not a regression.

had the same problem, but with wireless... i found a solution online and tried it - worked for me.

To disable IPv6 in OS X Lion, you will need to use the Terminal.

Applications > Utilities > Terminal
To determine what are all of your Mac's network interfaces are, issue the following command: networksetup -listallnetworkservices
To disable IPv6 for wireless, issue the following command: networksetup -setv6off Wi-Fi; to disable IPv6 for Ethernet, issue the following command: networksetup -setv6off Ethernet
To re-enable IPv6, use -setv6automatic instead
