Garageband ipad better then garageband osx?
Does anyone know an app like garageband on the ipad for OSX? (on the ipad there are many things possible which aren't on OSX)
Mac Pro, Mac OS X (10.6.7)

You have GarageBand for OS X in the App Store. If you want a more professional app, you can purchase Logic Pro in the App Store, too
I know, but with garageband on OSX you don't have the smart instruments. I looked at mainstage but also no smart instruments over there 😟
It looks like an exclusive feature of GarageBand for iOS
Yes, so far am I to, but if you read my question, is there an app that does the same for OSX?
Since Smart Instruments need a touch-sensitive screen, it seems logical not to include them in Garageband OSX.
However, given that it is possible to use the iPad as a second touch-sentivie screen with any Mac (for example using AIRPLAY), let's hope that Smart Instruments get added to the next update of Garageband OSX.
It ***** that the iPad version is actually better for composing your own songs, editing tracks very easily while the mac version you limited to just loops and creating your own actual song (not bunching together their loops to create a song) is not possible. where on the iPad version you can actual compose and create your own actual song is very easy. Seems that if you shell out $1000 bucks for a mac, you should get an even easier and better Garageband, but thats not the case. Very disappointing
So 2 years later you answer this post with ... well. nothing of value? Start a new thread.

Well since I'm a new Mac buyer who just shelled out over $1000 thinking I might get a more professional version of GarageBand, yeah I think I have a right to complain. And since I see you haven't contributed anything at all to this discussion, I guess you shouldn't be telling others not to contribute, as maybe we would like apple to notice that maybe they need to improve certain things.
Na, I'm just saying you are wasting your breath reopening an old (two year old) thread which was referenced to difference versions of OSX, iDevices, Garageband, etc. etc. So if you wish to complain, then open a relevant thread INSTEAD of tacking some small comment to the end of a long dead thread, or tell Apple feedback or SWC.
