iMovie 11 will not share/finalize, uninstall/reinstall time?

I'm beyond sick of searching for answers/fixes to my issue with iMovie. Problem: iMovie will not share or finalize my projects, of any size. This is a simple yes or no: should I uninstall and reinstall iMovie to see if it solves the problem?
