I am trying to set up iPad exchange so I can get POP email synced between iPad and hope PC. Follow instructions on this page, get "cannot identify" message. Any ideas?

I think you should try imap instead of pop.

imap lets you manange a server based email account.

I agree. Use IMAP instead of POP. The error is refering to SSL. Turn that off and it will go away (look under Advanced settings).
