I have a bose soundock II, is this compatible with airplay from my iphone? and if so how do I set it up?

I Recently purchased a Bose Soundock II from amazon, It specified that this would work with iphone via airplay. The only devices that appear via airplay are my iphone and apple tv. First of all is this device compatible with Apple and if so what do I need to do to connect it to my network so that it shows on my airplay list.
