My Macbook pro wont charge! Help me understand the battery life!

When I disconnected the charger my computer shut off entirely.

I have only had this computer about 1 year and a half- Maybe 2.

Throughout its time my computer would go to sleep randomly since day one of its purchase.

Can you explain if the cycle makes sense with the mAh being 5209 and haveing 5076 remaining?

I would have expected to see something like 7000 to 8500 mAh for a good battery.

Also, you have 600 charge/discharge cycles so far. Some of the Mac portable batteries are designed with as many as 1000 cycles, some are designed for as few as 300. Depends on your model.

It sounds like your battery is worn out and needs to be replaced.

I've seen folks in the Apple Store replacing batteries that are not user servicable, it's very common. I've watched them do it, it's fairly fast but the batteries themselves are expensive ($100) and there might be a labor charge as well.
