Jan 20, 2013 8:58 AM in response to Rockonrysby JenWho,I'm experiencing the exact same error. Thinking it might be a connectivity, firewall or antivirus issue, I close down my browser so iTunes is the only thing running, turn off my antivirus, malware and firewall programs, and STILL get the error. In the past 24 hours, I was able to get three programs downloaded but have lost count on the number of times I've deleted / restarted the last three programs within the same season. I've cleared my iTunes store cache, and that doesn't seem to help at all either (one of the workarounds listed elsewhere).
This is extremely frustrating, and I'm to the point where I'm about ready to give up on the iTunes store, at least when downloading things other than music and apps.

Jan 20, 2013 1:44 PM in response to JenWhoby JenWho,I was finally able to download without issue: It must be something running in the background that is periodically blocking the downloads. I used msconfig as suggested, and chose to boot in safe mode w/networking enabled. All three remaining episodes downloaded without another -50 error!
Kind of a pain, and I do wish this wasn't an issue to deal with, but I'm glad that there is a workaround to use in the interim!

Jan 24, 2013 5:43 AM in response to Rockonrysby Spiderpants,I as well have been having this issue. My firewall is supposed to let all thing iTunes in, so I don't know what the issue is. It just seems to have appeared out of no where. What ever the deal is, I have no issues with podcasts and videos import ok. It's just apps I'm having problems with.
What ever the deal is, something in this last update is preventing my iPod classic and new Ipad from updating as well.
