When I try to charge my iPod shuffle 2nd generation, the orange light blinks but does not stay lit. It does not appear to be charging. It does have the latest version of software. I did the restore and put music back on it. iTunes does recognize it.

My iPod Shuffle 2nd generation was idle for quite a while after I lost the use of my home computer. Now, with a new computer, I've tried to charge it in iTunes but it doesn't seem to take a charge. I verified that I have the latest version of software and did a restore. I added music to it again. But, still, it does not seem to want to take a charge. The orange light blinks instead of staying on and then turning green when fully charged. Thoughts anyone?
