I'm trying to update my iphone 4 but i keep on getting a message when backing up saying "error -43" all content on phone will be lost if you continue

I'm trying to update my iphone 4 but i keep on getting an error message - 43 saying that if I continue all content on the phone will be lost. Can somebody please help me.
