Why won't Automator hold my values when I save a workflow?

The values in the saved workflow are set to what they were when you saved it. So your workflow will run as expected.

Automator (for what ever reason) resets the values when the workflow is opened in the editor. So if you open a workflow and save it again make sure you set the values back to what you want.
