Q: iTunes 11 interfacing BAD

What the heck is it with iTunes? This new version is horrible. I now cannot easity see or get to my directory. Yes, I can click the button on the right side to get to my stuff, but everything is so counter-intuitive now. Furthermore, I cannot see and select any options for backing up my iPhone. All I can find is (from my drop down Menu on my computer) the option to "Back-up" under "Devices." Nothing there, or anywhere, such as when the last back-up occurred, or options I can select, etc.

 

Am I missing something?

 

This new version is clearly aimed at driving more traffic/sales to the iTunes store. What's the matter, Apple, not making enough money as it is with all you have?

 

Give us back the old directory-style interfacing.

    This forum is for questions from those managing sites on iTunes U, Apple's service for colleges and universities to post educational material in the iTunes Store. You'll be most likely to get help with this issue if you ask in the general iTunes forums.

     

    Answering quickly, though, all those options are still there, on the device Summary tab just as they were before. Just click on the button for your device in the header bar:

    or select "Show Sidebar" from the View menu.
