Digital Copy with Bluray automatically chose HD, can't load it on my iPod

I bought Pitch Perfect the other day on Bluray and it came with a digital copy. I entered the code into iTunes and it automatically selected the HD version of the movie. Now I can't put the digital copy on my iPod and that is the only reason to have the digital copies.

Is there anyway I can get the SD version of the movie without paying for it?
