because i need to send my network to 9 airport express units, do I really have to buy multiple airport extremes in my control room. or is there another option?

I have a villa, very large. 9 ethernet ports throughout the villa all running from a control room. I want to have a roaming wifi network throughout the entire villa. The airport extreme modem only has three ethernet out ports. if I plug another extreme into that i will have 5 another would give me 8 another would give me enought for what i need. There must be a better solution than joining 4 airport extremes together. Can I used a different product, something other than the apple brand but keep the apple ui for controlling the roaming wirless network.

Of course. Purchase an inexpensive Ethernet switch.

An eight port switch provides six additional ports, so buy two of them. Eight port Gigabit switches are available for less than $50 US and can occasionally be found for half that much.
