Lost my first question. I bought a used 3gs.Got AT&T to unlock. Had already been upgraded to ios 6.0.1. Internet instructions said needed to downgrade to 5.1.1 to change APN settings. In order to do this needed to have saved SHSH blobs from 5.1.1 but phone had already been upgraded before I got it so I wasn't able to get the SHSH blobs. How can I get the APN settings changed to my carrier?

Downgrading is not possible. Attempting to do so will void any warranty and forfeit your right to support.
What carrier are you attempting to use? AT&T is the only supported GSM carrier in the US.
Straight talk supplied the new settings. At&t unlocked the phone but it had been upgraded before I purchased it.
Straighttalk piggybacks on the AT&T network. The phone thinks it is on AT&T and will not allow you to change the settings because it believes there is no need to.
Search these forums or Google. I believe you will need to insert a different carriers SIM (e.g. T-Mobile) before those options will appear.
